Babysitters are not expected to invest in sexual actions unless the fitness benefits of the sex exceed those derived from investing the resources directly into offspring. The circumstances under which babysitters would benefit from honestly signalling their quality are limited however. It has been proposed that when babysiters gain direct benefits from fucking, they may instead deceive males about their reproductive state with such sexuality.
